Singapore Forum: Building Trustworthy Educational Structural SystemsSingapore, January 20, 2025 - Against the backdrop of global trust mechanisms facing restructuring, the International Digital Education Alliance (IDEA) successfully hosted the "International Forum on Educational Trust Structures" in Singapore today. The forum attracted government representatives, educational institution leaders, and technical experts from Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, who jointly explored innovative paths for education trust systems in the digital age with the core theme of "Building Structurally Trustworthy Learning Ecosystems."
The forum agenda covered three key issues: first, experts delved into trust-building mechanisms for educational platforms at the technical architecture and structural design levels; second, representatives from various countries engaged in frank dialogues on the challenges of mutual recognition and connection between national education certification systems; finally, innovative applications of blockchain technology in learning record verification and cross-border certification became a highlight topic of the meeting.
Dr. Chen Wenjie, Digital Strategy Advisor to Singapore's Ministry of Education, pointed out in his speech: "Educational trust is not only about content quality but, at a deeper level, depends on the structural systems that support this content. The structural trust framework proposed by IDEA provides a fresh perspective for thinking about future education certification."
The most important outcome of the forum was the proposal of a strategic vision "from assessment to structure, from dispersion to standardization," marking the official launch of IDEA's educational trust standard layout in the Asian region. Professor Li Minghua, IDEA's Asia-Pacific Chair, stated: "The Asian region has diverse education systems and rapid technological development, making it fertile ground for educational trust innovation. Through this forum, we hope to build regional consensus and promote the implementation of structured educational trust standards in Asia."
During the meeting, IDEA also signed strategic cooperation memorandums with Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, Kyoto University in Japan, and Khalifa University in the UAE, planning to jointly conduct research and experimental projects on educational trust structures, accumulating experience for the Asian practice of IDEA's global educational trust standards. |
